Cologne Cathedral
Where the Cathedral stands today, stood a church in the 4th century.
On the 15th of August, 1248, the first foundation for the Cathedral was laid by Archbishop Konrad von Hochstaden.
1880, after 632 years , the Cologne Cathedral was finished.
1943, the Cathedral was heavily damaged by bombing.
1996, UNESCO admits the Cathedral in the list of World Culture Heritages as a "masterpiece of gothic architecture."
